Be sure to attend tomorrow's meeting.  Lisa Hutson will be giving a presentation on the importance of strategic planning.  Whatever your organization, company, family, or personal goals, you will benefit from having a well-thought-out strategic plan, how to get from "Here" to "There".

The Elyria Sunrise Rotary was proud to host District Governor Maris Brenner's 64th and final district club visit.  Maris shared her journey to the DG position, what she has learned about Rotary--both locally and internationally--and how Rotary is changing lives across the globe.  A poignant story was being at the Rotary International Convention in Toronto and getting a very unexpected hug from a Nigerian delegate.  He had seen "Ohio" and "District 6600" on her name badge and wanted to show his appreciation for the District's shipments of kidney dialysis machines to Nigeria.  Turned out this man was the club president in Nigeria who coordinated the receipt and delivery of that MESA shipment.  Maris shared how proud and moved she was to see, in a very tangible way, that what we do here in our District is very literally changing and saving lives around the world.  At the end of her visit, we raised a toast to Maris, the Club, and the District.  "Having fun uniting the District to change the world."
